​The Ransome family started supplying construction equipment in 1916 throughout the eastern part of the USA
In 1932 they were awarded the Caterpillar dealership for Pennsylvania, New Jersey and Delaware areas
This grew to become a full line Cat dealer (Ransome Caterpillar) supplying power generation, trucks and construction equipment
At its height, it operated from eight branches with several hundred employees, the Ransome family owned the business until 2018, when it was sold and now trades as Foley Caterpillar (www.foleyinc.com)

After managing the Caterpillar dealership for a number of years, Percy Ransome established Ransome Equipment in New Jersey USA in 1994 to cater for customers looking for specialist attachments and excavator fronts
Since then, Ransome Equipment has supplied thousands of customers across North America and the world, full details can be found at www.ransome-equip.com

In 2009 First Square Equipment and Ransome Equipment started to work together, with Ransome's marketing First Square's stock of teledippers to US customers, and First Square marketing Ransome's range of excavator attachments in Europe  

Since this time, many customers have been supplied with a variety of equipment, including over 25 teledippers
