First Square Equipment have supplied a stick extension and hammer bracket to Dawson Wam, specified to take a large auger attachment. The stick was needed to overcome issues with a specific job where a vertical a wall under a ledge which needed stabilising, this required an auger to drill holes to allow grouting. Essentially the excavator was drilling holes under itself.
The picture above shows a CAT 335F zero tail swing with First Square Equipment's stick extension fitted ready to work, painted in red by the client.
The stick has modifications engineered in to absorb the torsion of the large auger attachment, and was heavily modified by FSE to suit the clients application.
The job has now been successfully completed and the client commented that "the stick worked well for us".
First Square Equipment have been provide both standard and bespoke stick extensions and long reach fronts to many differing industries.
Thanks to Lee McCourt the owner of Specialist Tunnel Excavations (STE) in Sydney Australia, for his order of two 30m teledippers
He visited the factory and inspected the finished units in person before container loading
Both units will be fitted to slide cab Liebherr excavators, and on arrival go immediately to work on the high profile Central Station site where reliability and safety are key factors - the fact that the Kocurek teledipper is seen in the market as the most reliable and safest, were key factors in STE buying decision

This week see’s the closing stages in the production of 4 x new 30m Teledipper’s, destined for Australia and USA
First Square Equipment are seeing a rise in demand for new Teledipper’s worldwide as companies understand the productivity, efficiency and versatility of this excellent product
The increase in demand of the Kocurek brand is due to the reliability of this premier product - some clients have had experience with low quality, cheap alternatives, but are now upgrading to a premium Kocurek brand
Reliability, simplicity, great after-sales and design quality are just a few of the reasons for companies buying or making the change
The product has been manufactured since year 2000, with over 135 units worldwide

Thanks to all involved in setting up and participating in this day, held at the 14m deep Pallion dock in Sunderland
The aim of the day was to be able to demonstrate gravity extend teledippers, to those operators who had previously been using the powered out type
As well as the chance to hone their skills (picking up tyres in place of soil !!), it was an ideal opportunity to make sure the daily inspection checks and service schedules of these actual units were clear to everyone
A great and useful day was had by all
Now we are ready for work !!
We are pleased to be fully ready (3 weeks early !!) for the upcoming shaft excavation project at Woodsmith Mine project in North Yorkshire
The attached photo show one of the machines we will have on the project - Liebherr 954 slide cab excavator with 30m teledipper
Watch this space for more photos once we get working on site
A batch of 40m teledippers are going through production at present - photos show mid / inner tubes on robot sub arc welding bed, and outer tubes in preparation for painting
All plate is highest quality Swedish 'Strenx' SSAB steel, which gives resistance to cracking / fatigue, and the best weight to strength ratio of any steel available
